NONE OF WHAT FOLLOWERS SHOULD BE TAKEN TO MEAN WE AREN’T SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER OFF WITH OBAMA THAN McCain AND THAT’S NOT EVEN CONSIDERING McCain IS ON THE ENDANGERED SPECIES LIST AND WE COULD HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT PRESIDENT PALIN. S Palin has stated that out being in Iraq a Mission “That is from God.” Many are deeply concerned about how this third league sports caster is positioned one rather faint heartbeat from the presidency should McCain be elected and live long enough to become president. Overlooked are the advantages of having a vice president or possibly president who is able to fathom the often mysterious will of God. We have every reason to believe that Palin will be further able decipher the Supreme Beings will and point out among many other matters a celestially sanctioned foreign policy, how to pay for the BIG Deep, how better to ignore the homeless and poor and possibly, and most importantly, how to sell Chevy’s and get the voters in the Midwest back on their feet. Such problematically bedeviled matters as to how to dispose of illegal immigrants, kids who wear their pants too low and pot smokers should be a cinch what with Palin having a hot line to the BIG GUY.

new troop deployments have been announced by Maj Gen Electric. While leaving considerable room for maneuver, the deployments have been heralded by their authors for their inclusiveness. Adherents claim that not only do the deployments allow for strategic considerations, but also take into account the budgetary wars necessary to maintain the military in the fashion to which it has become accustomed. No offal word on the deployment of the nine Gulf Stream jets the pentagon ordered but sources close to the pentagon and other major corporations left little doubt that they would be deployed as necessary to Hawaii and the Caribbean, most certainly in the winter.

John McCain’s selection of the undistinguished and commonplace S Palin as his running mate has raised the hopes of mediocre and dead ended politicians crossed the country. City councilmen, county selectmen and justices of the peace await his call as the posts of Sec of State, Sec of Commerces and Sec of The Treasury and the like are filled. Meanwhile sources close to the McCain campaign say McCain’s gardener is in the running for Sec of Agriculture and his chauffeur is a shoe in for Sec of Transportation.

While these financial bums are the first to arive, reports are rift of other corporate bums, swindlers and their lobbyists flocking to to the capitol to feed at the new 700 billion dollar trough. Hotel rooms have been booked solid for the next 3 years as domestic bums, swindlers and their lobbyists are joined foreign bums, swindlers and their lobbyists in anticipation of an inprecedented international free lunch. The Harvard and The Warton Schools of Business have leased the second floor of the Treasury Building to offer their PHD degrees in Business for those few bums who don’t already have one. It is widely believed that holders of such credentials will be assigned better poitions at the trough and that the schools will make out like bandits, but then with 7oo billion floating around, it is expected that even the CEO’s and CFO’s of Freddie Mac and Fanny May will make a profit.

It’s been long said that a picture is worth a thousand words. In the age of the sound bite and an astounding word inflation, where superlatives are common place, certainly a picture has become worth untold thousands of words. It is an age in which pictorial satire, called pictograms here, would seem to be a perfect fit.
Exposing the hidden motivations of public figures and the futility of their self serving policies has forever been the goal of political satire. In 1947, the preeminant satirist George Orwell wrote to the effect that due to “modern” technology vastly increasing the power of the state, the only defense for those who love liberty and value human dignity is the pencil. What would he say today?
The people who do pictorial satire differ greatly in style and outlook. I hope you enjoy mine, if not there are many others who are easy to find on the web. The web is an upside of technology that Orwell didn’t live to see, but I suspect he would find encouraging the spread of knowledge outside the control of the state.
